Ron Hundahl, President

Ronald Hundahl was born and raised in Kalispell, Montana. After completing his schooling in Montana, he was hired by The Boeing Company and relocated to the Puget Sound area. He has worked in various positions within that company throughout his 34 years.  But most recently as a factory manager in support of the 787-airplane program. Ron retired from The Boeing Company in 2014 and moved to Council.

Ron was attracted to the beautiful West Central Mountains of Idaho for its unlimited recreation opportunities and its slower pace of life. Currently Ron owns the Council Mountain Coffee shop and is also the owner and operator of the WRT RV Park next to the Weiser River trail.  Bike riding and hiking has always been a passion of his. So, making the decision to move to Council, Idaho to make them an even larger part of his life was really a “no brainer”.

James Mahon, Treasurer

I am a 1968 graduate of Council High School, and a retired US Marine due to injuries I received while serving with a front line company in Vietnam.  I have two BS college degrees, the first in Parks and Recreation Management from the University of Wyoming, and the second in Economics from Boise State.  I returned to Council in 2012, purchased a home, a business (Council Health & Fitness), and ran and won a seat on the City Council.  In my past, I managed Chambers of Commerce and joined the Council Chamber of Commerce as soon as I arrived home.  I love this small mountain City, and will do anything I can to help.
